Our Sunday Worship
What to Expect
Each Sunday, the Worship Service at Redeemer follows an order laid out for you in the liturgy. Though our liturgy is deeply rooted in ancient Christian history, it is not mere tradition. Worship is a conversation between God and us, and our liturgy is designed to reflect the nature of that holy dialogue.

This is the very heart of the worship service. We believe that through the Word when it is preached, the Risen Lord Jesus is addressing His people by means of the Scripture, by the power of the Holy Spirit. This proclamation of everlasting life in Jesus is accompanied by the sacrament of the Lord's Supper. At the Lord's Table, the Risen Lord Jesus assures us again of everlasting life, and communes with us by means of bread and wine. Both the sermon and the Lord's Supper are words of grace that God speaks to us. We respond to this gracious communion with faith through prayer and song.
When God calls us into His presence, we are struck by the majesty of His transcendence. We come into worship with the aches and pains of the week clinging closely to us - our grief, misery, and shortcomings heavy upon our minds. God reminds us of His transcendent holiness through the reading of the law. However, He also reminds us of the gospel reality that Christ has come to cleanse us from our sin and answer our misery through the reading of the holy gospel. God meets with us to cleanse us and make us worthy to dwell in His transcendent glory through Jesus Christ. We respond to His declaration of our cleansing through a song of praise and through prayer.
True worship always begins with God's initiation and invitation. Each service at Redeemer begins with the Call to Worship - an invitation from Scripture illustrating that God is the one gathering us into His presence. He has the first word in this divine conversation. For our part, we respond to this call through a song of praise.
How We
Worship Together
As we conclude, God places His name on us through the pronouncement of the benediction. Drawn from Scripture, this benediction is God's final word in the worship service, where He blesses us and sends us into the world to be salt and light.
Biblical Worship
Since the Bible stands at the center of who we are and what we do, you can expect our worship service to be saturated in Scripture. The components of our service every week are simple and consistent:
The Word of God
Various readings and preaching from Scripture throughout the service.
Christ-Centered Preaching
Every sermon is rooted in the Bible and proclaims Jesus Christ as the only hope for mankind.
Prayer
Offered at different parts of the service, prayer is woven throughout our time together.
Songs of Praise
We respond to God's Word and grace through congregational singing.
Sacraments
At Redeemer, we celebrate the Lord's Supper every week as a means of God's grace to His people.
Children in Worship
For those who have young children, please relax and take a deep breath! We want them in the sanctuary during our worship service and they are not a distraction. Having our children with us will allow them to not only learn the importance of worship but they also pick up much more than we sometimes think.
The noises and excitement that comes with having children in our worship is not a distraction, but a gift from God to our entire church. However, we do have a nursery during the worship service if you prefer that for your children.
